I'm such a fan of black with pale pink (that is how my bedroom is decorated) and think the colours contrast perfectly.
Here I used their 3 in 1 Base/Top coat and Nail Hardener followed by 2 coats of Strawberry (if I were using it alone I would definitely do 3 as it takes quite a bit to go fully opaque). I then did a light layer of N/E followed by the top coat.
The rant I have for today is at how POORLY the Nail Effects keeps in the bottle. I have used mine about 3 or 4 times now but the product has gone so CLUMPY it's now almost impossible to apply. The effect is still good but I had to constantly remove big solid LUMPS of it from the brush to get it to go on.
I have to say that I am extremely disappointed. I love Barry M and until now have had NOTHING bad to say about ANY product of theirs. But I really think the formulation of this could be much better. I'm always making sure I seal bottles tightly after use to avoid this sort of thing.
I'm sure I can forgive them though. But I think I will go back to OPI Black Shatter once I've used what I can of this.
I find this problem with most crackle nail polishes, my Opi black shatte does the same.
ReplyDelete*shatter (oops)
ReplyDeleteI found the OPI lasted a little longer to be honest. Not saying it didn't do the same because it did, but i got a lot more use out of it before it started to go :(
ReplyDeletewhat about putting a drop of nail varnish remover in? might de-clump it
ReplyDeleteI'm reluctant to do that as the formula for this is SO different to regular polish. I doubt it would work :(
