Hi! Welcome!
I'm Lisa.I'm a freelance writer and PR/Digital Marketing consultant from Matlock, Derbyshire. I'm a pretty average human female who's pushing 40 and worries just a little bit more than I should about my double chin and my muffin top. I'm an animal loving vegetarian, houseplant nerd, and passionate (but broke) traveller. I live and work from my home, which I share with 2 rescue cats and a part-time spaniel.
Where to start when telling you about this blog? From the beginning might be easiest...
I started this blog in 2010 as a hobby project to distract me from some chronic health issues. It has taken different forms and had many makeovers over the years, and I've never had as much time as I would have liked to dedicate to it and make it super-successful and 'popular' but, boy, has this little corner of the internet taken me places! I wouldn't be the person I am now, and have the life and career opportunities I have now, without it.
That Lisa Clare has evolved over the years, that's for sure. It started out as a beauty blog and branched out from there. In 2019, it is definitely a broader lifestyle blog, and you'll find me posting about wherever life is currently taking me - from travel diaries, to life rambles, to fashion and beauty favourites, and anything in between. These days you're most likely to find me hiking in the Peak District with my partner, Tim, documenting my home decor projects, or daydreaming about escaping from it all and living as a digital nomad in a camper van.
Now that I'm heading towards my 40s, I'm looking to shake it up and make That Lisa Clare exciting again. I hope you'll join me on this new adventure!
