Warming Winter Fragrances by Harper's Bizarre Candles

Cruelty-free, vegan and eco-friendly soya wax candles

Don't get me wrong, okay, I'm a complete candle freak 12 months of the year. As someone who lives with animals, scented candles are an eco-friendly way to counteract their various whiffs. However, I find them to be particularly comforting during the Winter months. One brand I have really come to love over the past year or so is Harper's Bizarre. Their candles are handmade from 100% soya wax, are eco friendly and come fully accredited by The Vegan Society as being cruelty-free and free from animal ingredients. Today I wanted to share with you a handful of their scents I've been particularly enjoying since the night have started creeping in...

Harper's Bizarre Candles - Snuggley Blanket, Raspberry & Rose, Pumpkin Apple Slice

Harper's Bizarre, based in Hull, is the baby of a lovely lady called Victoria, who I have now come to consider a friend. She makes each batch by hand and dreams up each original scent herself. Her quirky personality shines through in her products and the scents are truly unique compared to other candle brands (she recently came up with a scent named 'Chocolate puppies').  The candles come with a double wick for an even burn with an approximate burn time of 20hrs each. The fragrances are strong and carry wonderfully. Nothing worse than a scented candle you can only smell when your nose is in the tin.

Harper's Bizarre Candles: Snuggley Blanket, Raspberry & Rose, Pumpkin Apple Slice, Scary Mary

The fragrances I'm loving the most at the moment include the following...

Raspberry & Rose

This is a year-round favourite if I'm honest, but I couldn't do a favourites round-up without including it. I love a fruit and floral combo. This candle is at its most gorgeous when burned in the kitchen.

Snuggley Blanket

I find these kinds of scents to be the most comforting once the weather cools down and the nights get darker. Harper's version is particularly lovely and I always have it in the house. My favourite time to burn this one is at bedtime.

Scary Mary

This is a new seasonal candle for Autumn/Winter 2015 and continues with the fruity/floral theme. I'm obsessed with it! Victoria has taken much inspiration from Halloween this year with other seasonal candles including 'Zombielicious' and 'Dirty Crow'.

Pumpkin Apple Slice

Okay, this one isn't widely available as it was purely made as an experiment. However, it seriously smells like Autumn in a tin and I'm currently rallying a petition for it to make a more permanent comeback in 2016. Victoria sells her one-off experiments at events and vegan fayres so look out for her at any upcoming Christmas markets. You might find a hidden treasure! Check out her website for more info.

Harper's Bizarre Candles - Snuggley Blanket, Raspberry & Rose, Scary Mary

Harper's Candles collections range from florals, to aromatics, to patisserie so there's something for every taste or mood. Of course, now that the holiday period is looming, the Christmas selections are also creeping onto the site and I can 100% vouch for those too. Jingle Bells and Let it Snow were particular favourites in my house last year.

Harper's Bizarre candles are priced at £8 each, or 3 for £20. They make pretty gifts as well as a special treat to fight the winter blues. I don't know where I'd be without them!

Yankee Christmas 2014: My Top Picks

Some animals hibernate during the winter... I hoard Yankee Candles. There's nothing better to me, when it's cold outside, than snuggling under a blanket with a good book and something sweet in my wax burner. Winter scents have always been my favourite. I love anything woody, spicy and comforting. I'm also a sucker for food-themed scents.

Normally, come November, I'll hunt out a selection of wax tarts that tickle my fancy, try them all out and then decide which scents are worthy of a larger jar purchase. This year, Yankee Direct* have saved me the hassle of choosing and provided me with a gorgeous selection of this year's seasonal scents.

Christmas Garland: Pine and Cranberry
Silver Birch: Dry, spicy and woody
Bay Leaf Wreath: Bay leaves, orange and cedarwood
Candy Cane Lane: Peppermint, sweet cookies and vanilla icing
Icicles: Winter forest with pine and cinnamon
Angel's Wings: Spun sugar, flower petals and smooth vanilla

This was a really well thought out selection. They've included a bit of everything. Candy Cane Lane is brilliantly fresh and sweet, Silver Birch is everything I expect from a woody fragrance and Bay Leaf Wreath carries wonderfully through the house. I wasn't as convinced by Icicles (perhaps a bit 'soapy' for me) and Christmas Garland (I used to clean pubs so pine is usually a no-no for me hehe) but I didn't find any of them unpleasant. Angel's Wings is definitely this year's winner. It's fresh, floral and sweet all rolled into one and I MUST get the biggest jar I can find of it IMMEDIATELY! Other favourites from last winter include Snow In Love, Christmas Eve and Snowflake Cookie, all of which are still available this year.

Yankee Direct are a discount stockist of all your favourite scents and have some great offers throughout the year, as well as at Christmas. Their wax tart bundles are amazing value and they're always super quick to ship so there's plenty of time left to order before Christmas. Yankee products make fantastic gifts!

Smells Like Nostalgia: Impulse Vanilla Kisses

No P.E kit was complete without it. Every girl in my form reeked of it. We were ALL obsessed with it. Any 90s teenager will need no introduction to classic Impulse fragrance, Vanilla Kisses*. This stuff was like crack in a can to teenage girls. Fast-forward almost two decades and, at the age of (almost) 32, I once again find myself marinating in it! Surreal to say the least. To celebrate Superdrug's 50th Birthday, Impulse have relaunched Vanilla Kisses and, just as we've all matured a little since those good old days, this iconic fragrance has been given a grown-up, designer makeover...

The 90s revival seems to be in full swing this summer. Scrunchies, jelly shoes and chokers are popping up all over high streets and catwalks. What better than a nostalgic scent to go along with them? Vanilla Kisses has been reformulated with real perfume oils by the fragrance experts behind Dior and Calvin Klein. It still has that signature sweet vanilla base with notes of apple and peach, just with added grown-up chic. These quality ingredients means that the fragrance lasts longer making it a great, on the go, handbag (not school bag) essential.

Vanilla Kisses is a limited edition release and is currently available exclusively at Superdrug and

superdrug.com

Did anyone else go mental for this fragrance back in the day? I used to team mine with 17 Heatherberry lippy and my Morgan school bag. Oh the memories!

My Yankee Sale Purchase

This is only a snippet of my collective January Sales haul for 2014. I'm planning on doing my main Sales post next week as a job lot as I'm still waiting on a parcel. I haven't gone nuts this year so it will all fit into one but I wanted to bring you THIS post in advance, and all to itself, as it is the one I've been most excited about. I FINALLY got my mitts on a Large Yankee 'Snow in Love' jar candle. And I got it in the SALE too!!

I picked up this badboy for £14.99 which is £4 off the RRP for a large Yankee jar. I actually made this purchase just before Christmas because I wanted to make sure this scent hadn't sold out by the time I got round to buying it. Luckily the Yankee sale had already begun by then and I got a bargain.

Snow in Love was my ultimate favourite of the 2013 Festive collection from Yankee. I did do a little haul post not so long ago about all my favourite Yankee jars, tarts and votives for the 2013 season (you can find that Here) in which I declared this one the winner of my affections. I love it because it is woody, fresh and slightly sweet at the same time and is a scent that I feel I will enjoy all year round. It's such a refreshing change from your usual sweet, spicy Christmas fragrances (not that I don't adore those too, I might add, I'm burning Snowflake Cookie right now!)

I also took the liberty of ordering a couple of extra wax tarts in this fragrance just to be on the safe side. Sadly, as I write this post, it seems that Snow in Love has sold out in the Yankee sale BUT there are still many bargains to be had, from jar candles to votives or tarts. There are still some of the Christmas fragrances marked down.

Check out the remaining bargains at

What were your fragrance winners over Christmas 2013?? Did you take advantage of the Yankee Sale??

TLC's Last Minute Christmas Crackers Pt2: Benefit Crescent Row

My last minute Christmas Shopping Spree continues! It might be less than a week to go before it all kicks off but there's still plenty of shopping hours to be had. A quick nip into Debenhams or Boots is all that's needed to pick up this little beauty of a Fragrance Gift Set by Benefit. I'm a HUGE fan of Benefit fragrances and was presented with this Limited Edition Crescent Row Set* at the Benefit Christmas Bloggers Party. This is a mini selection of all of their best loved fragrances, including a new addition to the gang.

This set contains four of Benefit's Best Loved Fragrances in dinky 10ml sizes...
Laugh With me LeeLee
Ring My Bella
My Place or Yours Gina
and
NEW Under my Spell Noelle

These are perfect for handbags! I've been carrying around Noelle and Gina almost constantly ever since I got this set. It's great to have them handy, should the need for a quick dab of something gorgeous arise. The only fragrance out of the bunch I was unfamiliar with was LeeLee, but I'm learning to love her just as much as I love her Crescent Row sisters. And, of course, in true Benefit style, the packaging is beautiful. It's something any Benefit or fragrance fan would love to unwrap for Christmas.

This Gift Set retails for £29.50 for 4x10ml

Benefit have so many gorgeous Limited Edition sets this year! Why not have a browse on the website before you dash out to brave the shopping madness and save some time? If you REALLY haven't got time to get to a counter before Christmas, Benefit are currently offering an Express shipping option before midnight tomorrow (20th) to ensure your online orders get to you before the big day.

Smells Like Christmas... Yankee Festive Fragrances

I don't know about you but Christmas isn't Christmas for me without a big Yankee Candle haul. I look forward to their Festive selections every year! It's now a tradition for me to go out and buy a massive selection of votives and wax tarts and then decide which one I love the most so i can go and grab a BIG jar. I've been absolutely obsessed in my quest for about the last month so I thought I'd show you my Yankee haul so far this year (my large jar won't be making its arrival until Christmas Day as it is a gift from my parents) and which fragrances are my favourite.

Wax Tarts....
Red Velvet: Not technically from the Christmas selection I suppose but I hadn't come across it before and popped it in with the others. Comforting, sugary and sweet and just what a cupcake fragrance should be. WINNER!
Cranberry Ice: Can't have Christmas without Cranberries can you? Yankee were dead right to pop this into their Festive mix this year. It's fruity but still has a bit of a sharp bite to it.
Christmas Eve: This is up there on my favourites list. It's spicy, sweet yet mellow. I could burn this for hours! Too good to save until Christmas Eve itself in my opinion (I ended up getting 3 of these).
Christmas Cookie: An oldie but still a goodie. I had to pick one of these up again this year as it was such a favourite last year. It never loses its charm. I burn this all year round!
Snow in Love: This is my ultimate winner out of the bunch, and the one I have chosen for my large jar. I adore woody fragrances and this is just perfect. Clean, fresh and woody with a slight sweetness about it. Just like a walk in the snow with your special someone (I'm assuming haha).

Fireside Treats...
I gave 'Merry Marshmallow' a miss this year, purely because I liked this one better and didn't feel that two marshmallow fragrances were called for. I opted to get a medium jar of Fireside Treats as I just found it a lovely, warm, sweet fragrance, just like grilled marshmallows! It's not the strongest of Yankee's scents and you stop noticing it after a while but it lingers in the room and, if you've been out and come back in, you walk back in and get a lovely sweet hit.

Snowflake Cookie...
This was the runner up in the battle of large jar supremacy. To be honest it only really missed out because I've not been able to source any jar of this at all. It must be a popular one! I can see why though, as I actually prefer it in some ways to Christmas Cookie. It's just that little bit less stodgy and more fresh smelling.  Seen as I couldn't get my mitts on a jar I took the liberty of stocking up on wax tarts and votives in this scent.  It's given me the perfect excuse to christen my gorgous purple glass holders. They look so pretty in low light.

So those were my Festive fragrance choices for 2013. No doubt I'll still be burning them in July (I've bought that many, I have multiples of most of the tarts featured in this post) which doesn't bother me in the slightest! I do it every year hahaha.

I'm sure you all know where you can buy Yankee Candles by now BUT... Just a heads up that Yankee Online have some fantastic discounts at the moment, so it's well worth checking what they've got left (I think a couple of the Christmas Fragrances are sold out online now). And there's still time for delivery before Christmas!

Do you love Candles at Christmas?? Are Yankee a favourite of yours?? Which scents are you loving for Christmas 2013??

A Few New Favourites

It's been a while since I mentioned any new favourites. I make a point of not doing a favourites post every month because, to be honest, if a product is my favourite then I'm not going to change it after a month just for the sake of a blog post. If I find a product I like I tend to stick with it unless something else comes along that really blows my mind. My favourites tend to change and evolve organically depending on my needs and often I fall back on old favourites as well as finding new ones. It just so happens that I've recently noticed that I'm reaching for a different set of products again so I thought I'd show them to you...

Amie Pure and Natural Skincare
I am a massive fan of this brand. I discovered them at a press event over a year ago and they are a brand that I seem to go back to. I'm going through one of those phases again recently and am really enjoying their Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser again. I use it every day under my makeup. I've also included for this post their Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask as it is a product I really love and usually keep as a special treat. The products comprise of almost 100% natural ingredients and are free from Sulphates and Parabens. They also smell AMAZING! The moisturiser contains extracts of Rosehip, Bilberry and Vitamin E. For more info and to see their full range visit amieskincare.com

Bourjois Happy Light Foundation*
I'm not going to say too much about this little beaut just yet as I'm planning to review it, along with the concealer of the same name later on this week. What I will say is that, as a die hard fan of Healthy Mix, I practically fell over myself to get my hands on this. I truly believe that Bourjois produce the best drugstore foundations on the market and I rarely go for any other brand when shopping on the high street. This particular foundation is designed to work with the other products in the Happy Light range for a flawless finish in any light. Again, more on this to follow...

Benefit Dallas Boxed Blush
As soon as Winter comes knocking I automatically break out this badboy. I have worn nothing else on my cheeks for at least a month now. It's just the perfect Autumn/Winter cheek colour. In the box it looks quite plummy, and it is, but once it's on the cheeks it comes out as a deep burnt peach-type colour along with the plum tones (and you all know how much i love my peach). I also don't feel the need to contour when I use this blush as it seems to produce the effect all by itself. This blush doesn't get the credit it deserves in my opinion and can be overshadowed by some of the other Benefit boxed powders but it is definitely number 1 for me during the cooler months.

Bourjois 'Twist up the Volume' Mascara*
I picked this up during London Fashion Week and fell in love with it. I'll be honest now and say that I haven't tried twisting it down yet (for bigger bristles and a more volumised effect) but that is because I love a good lengthening mascara and this one is just brilliant! If it ain't broke, don't change it etc etc... My lashes look so long when I've used this, even with just a single, quick coat. I have naturally thick lashes which are pretty average in length but this amplifies them beautifully. If you're looking for a good quality drugstore lengthening mascara I'd highly recommend you give this one a try.

Benefit 'Under my Spell.... Noelle' EDT*
I've always been a fan of Benefit fragrances. Previous favourites include Gina and Ring My Bella. I discovered this at the Christmas Party Benefit held to celebrate the opening of their stunning new Carnaby St Boutique and have worn it almost every day since. Noelle is the latest of the Benefit fragrances. Once again, I'm not going to give too much away on this as I have another post planned with some very special Festive Fragrance news from BeneFit. Watch out for that one in the run up to Christmas!

So that's my little selection of products I'm currently favouring. I'm actually quite surprised that there isn't a wider selection of brands in there this time. It just goes to prove my point that I am a creature of habit and my favourite brands and products never stray away too far.

What products are you loving lately??

Summer Lovin' Fragrance Edition: 'Nude' by Rihanna

Welcome back beauty seekers!
It's been a bit of a random time blogging-wise for me for the last week. I had planned to schedule posts for the week during my downtime following a minor surgical procedure to remove that nasty cyst that has been plaguing my face for so long, however, the surgery resulted in a MONSTROUS headache that kept me away from my computer screen until now. I hate being away from my blog for more than a couple of days! Thought I'd get things rolling along again with another edition of 'Summer Lovin', only this time it's something very different. I don't really do fragrance reviews as I'm not entirely sure I know what I'm talking about but I've been pleasantly surprised by this offering from the Queen of Pop, Rihanna....

'Nude' by Rihanna 30ml* RRP £19.50
I'll be honest here and say that, if this had not been gifted to me at a recent Press Day, I would have avoided it like the plague. I am really not one for celebrity fragrances as I normally find them to be on the sickly side and the packaging a little juvenile in nature. I'll also admit that I am certainly not a fan of Rihanna or her music. She seems to be putting her name to a lot of things lately, not very many of which I've been drawn to, BUT.... I really like this fragrance and have found myself reaching for it a lot recently as a versatile day-to-night Summer scent. My ULTIMATE Summer fragrance has always been Diesel 'Fuel for Life' and this hasn't knocked it off it's pedestal, but it's definite competition!

The fragrance is described as 'Sweet, Floral and Fruity' (and I've Googled this because my nose is useless) and does indeed list fruity notes of Guava, Mandarin and Pear. I think it is the inclusion of Sandalwood, Musk and Vanilla that have won me over and kept it neutral and without being majorly sweet. Sandalwood and Vanilla is an ultimate scent combination for me (as my scented candle collection will attest) and, true to form, my nose fell for it straight away. Nude also brings a floral twist of Jasmin, Gardenia and Orange Blossom to the mix, making it a much more grown up fragrance than those other sickly celebrity fragrances. Guess it goes to show that you shouldn't judge a perfume by the name on it.

I was also impressed with this packaging wise. Once you remove the obligatory sleeve of Rihanna in her bra and shove it firmly in the bin (bleurgh) you are left with a very neutral and feminine-looking bottle which looks very pleasing on one's vanity. I particularly like the silver detailing around the base of the cap shown in the above photo. It just adds a lovely touch.

You can buy this fragrance in 30, 50 and 100ml sizes and it's available from most of the major names in perfume retail. The Perfume Shop online currently have the 50ml on offer at £29.50 with a free bag (Link) which seems like a pretty good deal to me.

Are you sold on celebrity fragrances?? Do you have a particular scent for Summer?? Do you like floral and fruity or do you prefer exotic and spicy??

Popping my Scentsy Cherry

Something a bit different from me today! I'm no different from most of the beauty blogging community in that I ADORE scented candles. I share my room with two ferrets, who actually are not as horrendously stinky as one might assume and are kept very clean, but I always like to have something sweet and fruity lingering in the air, fuzzies or no fuzzies as it makes me feel all warm and happy inside. I'm a great fan of Yankee and Neom and all that jazz but, recently, a good friend of mine who just happens to be a Scentsy consultant made me a proposition I'd be foolish to refuse. She persuaded me to ditch my wick and give a flameless Scentsy warmer a try! She's ever so kindly sent me these items free of charge so that I can share them with you.

Mid-Size Cupcake Scentsy Warmer - £35*

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the concept of a flameless wax warmer (not burner, nothing burning here), I'll give you a bit of a rundown of Scentsy's mission and how their products actually work. Basically, they aim to bring you beautiful, decorative, family/pet friendly products that will make your home smell AMAZING and that eliminate all the mess, fuss and sometimes danger that goes along with traditional flamed candles and wax burners. You know the one where you've left your Yankee jar too close to the wall and you end up with that massive black soot smear ten feet high.... Yeah THAT!

The Scentsy warmer works by warming the ceramic tray from beneath by a single lightbulb. It plugs in at the wall, clicks on and off at the touch of a button and is pretty much child/pet/idiot proof! You just break a couple of blocks off whichever Scentsy bar you fancy (and there are many to choose from) and place them in the dish at the top. This Cupcake warmer also features a lid to make it extra secure. After a while, the blocks will begin to melt and the room will be filled with your delicious scent of choice!
There are so many different warmers to choose from of different sizes, shaped and designs. They are also perfect as gifts for weddings and also for newborns (a decorative and perfectly safe addition to the nursery). It really seems like a great investment and very eco friendly as you won't be left with an empty jar to get rid of every time.

Regular sized Scentsy Bars - £5 Each*

The Scents that Dawn has included for me to test drive are:

Vanilla Suede
I see from my brochure that this scent is actually featured as being perfect for MALE tastes.... Not sure what Dawn was getting at with that one or what that says about me hehehe. I did, however, specify beforehand that Vanilla and Sandalwood is my ultimate favourite scent. I have both Yankee and Neom varieties and I absolutely adore it! Vanilla Suede has both of these ingredients in abundance with the addition of rich amber and spices.

Cherry Limeade
This is a featured scent for the new Spring/Summer season and is a delicious mix of key lime, cherry and berries. It smells just like fruity POP! Most scents that I tend to go for are food orientated to be honest. A calorie free way to satisfy a latent sweet tooth haha. Scentsy actually do a specific 'Corner Cafe' range of scents as well featuring everything from Baked Apple Pie to Lychee Sorbet!

(Seriously, I had so much fun taking and editing the photos for this post! Great excuse to make use of some spare cupcake print wrapping paper I had lying around!)

I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the quality of the product! The warmer is sturdy, melts the wax steadily and the scents fill the whole room without being too overpowering. I'll report back on how long they last for scentwise. I've been burning 2 blocks in the warmer for a couple of days now and haven't had to change them yet. I find Vanilla Suede so comforting.
I also feel more confident to use the warmer when the ferrets are out and about as there is very little they can do to disturb it. The cord is a decent length and I've installed it on my vanity next to my makeup stash so that I can catch a whiff when I'm putting on or taking off my face.

I can't thank Dawn enough for giving me the chance to sample her wares!! You can browse and buy from Dawn's full catalogue online on her very own Scentsy website at nowick4uk.scentsy.co.uk or email her with any product questions at smellsheavenly@hotmail.co.uk. She's a lovely lady and a great friend and happy to help! I'd love it if you could show her some support.

Scentsy also offer an at-home service which is very similar to a handbag, Body Shop or naughty lingerie scenario so if you and your girls fancy a warm, relaxing evening in with a bottle of wine and some shopping then I'm sure Dawn can put you in touch with a Scentsy consultant in your area. I hear the hostess benefits are AMAZING!

Do you adore scented candles?? Would you consider swapping your Yankee?? Scentsy lovers, what are your ultimate Scentsy fragrances?? I need recommendations!!

Just Another Glossybox Ramble: Harrods Edition

Well i thought long and hard (for about 5mins then i got a headache) about whether it was worth me doing a Glossybox post this month, seen as there are SOOOOOOO many flying around, with it being the Harrods Edition and such... but then i thought "Ah, sod it". So here are MY thoughts on MY box....

I'm pretty sure we're all familiar with the concept by now. But if anyone is NOT then Glossybox is a monthly beauty box that you subscribe to for £10 a month (plus P+P). For that you get 5 luxury beauty samples, which often are a full size product. Its a total mystery until you crack it open but, depending on what preferences you specify when you sign up, you usually get things that they think you will love.
This month's box is another special edition. This time in collaboration with posh London department store, Harrods. So i suppose we were all expecting something a bit special. On the whole i think this month's box was pretty fabulous!!

So here's what i got....

Fan Di Fendi EDP (4ml Sample)
I think most people, when they see perfume samples in these boxes, would let out a little groan. Perfume is such a personal thing. Plus they're TINY and often by someone you've never even HEARD of. This sample is a little bit different to what you'd normally expect. It's in a proper bottle for starters (albeit only a 4ml one). Whenever i think of Fendi i always think of handbags but this scent is rather pleasant and very appropriate for Spring. It's a mix of floral and citrus but doesn't smell TOO grown up.

Miniature Burberry Lip Cover Lipstick (No4 - Rosewood)
Burberry LIPSTICK?? I've never heard the like if i'm honest, but it grabbed my attention that's for sure! I did have a little feeling of dread when i opened up the box, thinking that it would be a totally unwearable shade, but it's actually really rather nice!! A little darker than i would maybe go for but its definitely wearable!! I love that the bullet has the Burberry pattern on it and it really is very well packaged for a sample! Shadewise, the only shade i own which is similar is my MAC Spirit (not saying its a dupe, just that its similar). I definitely approve of the formula for this lipstick as it goes on VERY easily and feels lovely on.

Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum
Now THIS is what i got excited about!! Glossybox have got their hair products spot on for the last 2 boxes. I'm loving using the Paul Mitchell from the last box and this Ojon serum could not have come at a better time for me! As a few of you will know i have been playing about with ombre hair lately and that means bleach, and THAT means unhappy ends for Lisa. It is thinner than other, silicone based, serums or oils and doesn't add a vast amount of gloss but that also means it is not sticky and doesn't weigh the hair down. It is dispensed from a dropper which i really like as it means less waste. And my ends LOVE IT!! So glad i've finally got to try an Ojon product as i have heard many great things.

Clarins Lift Fermete Firming Body Cream (30ml Sample)
Would you believe that i am still a Clarins virgin?? My budget doesn't stretch to posh skincare usually so i rely on my Glossybox to come up trumps with the samples. I'm hoping that this cream  may give me a hand with my bingo wings!! I havent christened it yet so cannot really comment on the formula or the results but i'm excited to try it. This is a GREAT size for a sample. I wish my Dermalogica samples i enjoyed so much from a past box were this size. They would have lasted longer!

Erno Laszlo - The Hollywood Collection Gift Set (Sample sachets)
This is my grumble out of the lot. I HATE sachets. Hate hate HATE them!! I just find them a faff and i never feel like i've got all the product out and, if your hands get greasy they're impossible to get into! I think if you're going to give sachets you should give them as an EXTRA, not as a main product in a beauty box. I've never heard of this Erno geezer, but his creams are gonna have to be pretty SPECTACULAR to bring me round to these. I have a feeling they are going to end up stuck in a box with all the other sachets i've accumulated and never used.

So those are my ramblings and opinions on the products i've received. In general i'm really excited about using most of these products and i am confident that i will get use out of them. This box, for me, was WELL worth the money just for the Ojon serum ALONE!! I am aware there are several different versions of this month's box so, if anyone got different, feel free to link me to your post so i can peek inside your box (oooo-errrr).

For more information on Glossybox, or to subscribe for next month's offering you can go to glossybox.co.uk

Do you subscribe to Glossybox?? What did you receive this month?? What other beauty boxes would you recommend??
