Barry M Matte Nail Paint

At risk of sounding like a stuck record here... I'm alive! I'm still here! I really need to put an end to all these big gaps between posts. I don't like it and, judging by the handful of unfollowers, you guys don't like it either. I promise it's not intentional. Moving house seems to have put my entire life back by a fortnight. Starting to get on top of it now, thankfully, so expect much more frequent posting from now on (I mean it this time, this is ridiculous).

Due to the moving house and several broken nails in the last few weeks, October's 'Month in Manicures' post was a non starter. My nails have gone unloved while I got everything in order. BUT October was the month that I discovered Barry M's new Matte Nail Paints!

(L-R Caramel, Espresso, Vanilla)

I've been saying it and saying it for a long time now. Barry M was just SCREAMING for a range of Matte nail polishes. My patient waiting has paid off because they have finally come up trumps with a range of Matte shades that are just bang on for Autumn/Winter. A couple of the shades in the range were just too similar to others I already own so I gave those a miss but I picked up 3 of the shades. Caramel, Espresso and Vanilla.

There's just something about a matte, black nail polish that really gets me going. I'm not a massive fan of black nail polish in general and it's a colour I rarely wear but I'm obsessed with this one. It's just so rock chick it's not even funny!

In hindsight, the Vanilla shade is extremely similar to my Essie Playa Del Platinum, but I'm thrilled to have a matte version!

(I'm sorry for the bad lighting photograph below. Had to pinch it from my Instagram)
Caramac nails anyone??

I've actually been really impressed with these polishes! I tend to steer clear of the regular Barry M Nail Paint formula as I find a lot of the shades to be a bit wishy washy and prone to chipping. Most of the Barry M polishes I currently own are the textured and confetti varieties and, of course, the Gelly Hi-Shine range (nothing not to love about those).

I had to get over my compulsion to use a topcoat but these matte polishes go on very easily and are opaque after 2 coats. Drying time is pretty minimal too considering I wasn't allowed to use my Seche Vite to help me along. The finish really is lovely. One little grumble is that, after a couple of days of wear they start to look a little shiny and require an extra coat to maintain the true matte finish (see the Vanilla picture and you'll see what I mean). Other than that I found they lasted impressively, without chipping. I hope Barry M will release more shades in this range when the Spring/Summer season comes along. I will definitely be purchasing if they do!

Barry M Matte Nail Paint is available in 5 Shades and retails for £3.99
You can grab them in your local Boots or Superdrug!

Did you run out and buy these?? Do you love matte nails?? Which of the Barry M ranges is your favourite??

Tropical Summer Nails ft GOSH SS13

Hello lovelies!! I had intended to post this YESTERDAY as I haven't done a Monday Manicure post for a few weeks but, although i had all the photos done in time, my efforts were thwarted by a migraine and I ended up having to have an early nap instead. Boooooo! Anyways, I've been going a bit crazy for my Limecrime Velvetines in Suedeberry on my lips this week (if you still don't know what that is see my post Here) and it inspired me to pull out a couple of tropical nail colours that I received from GOSH Cosmetics new SS13 Collection and go bright on my nails as well!!

I suppose I have featured these polishes briefly on this blog before but no way did a quick swatch demonstrate them in all their glory and this is the first time I have given these two colours, in particular, their chance to truly shine!! Tropicana* is a hotter than hot orange toned coral/red shade and I chose Greed* to go along with it as an accent to add a bit of extra sunshiney SPARKLE!

I love love love these colours! It's a pity I still don't have much of a tan to set them off really (working on that). Tropicana applies very opaque from the first coat, although I did two to be on the safe side. I used my Ciate Paint Pot in Sand Dune as a base for two coats of the gold glitter polish. I might just add that I find GOSH polishes to be very thick in texture which is great in terms of colour payoff but, in my experience, each coat needs a little extra setting time before adding the next. Same before adding topcoat, or it just seems to clump and pull the polish off the edge of the nail. As always I finished with lashings of Seche Vite!

Coral and Gold are two of my favourite colours for summer. I just love warm, orangey, sunshiney hues when the sun comes out. I know it's a bit of a no no to match nail polish to lipstick these days but I just couldn't help myself. These colours set Suedeberry Velvetines off perfectly!

I did do a post about the full shade range for the GOSH SS13 collection Here with information on all shades, prices and stockists so be sure to check out the other shades in the range!

What are your perfect Summer nail colours??

Monday Manicure #6: Ciate Paint Pot in Sand Dune

My Monday Mani is making an early appearance this week. Mainly because I got a bit overexcited at this month's Marie Claire freebies and wanted to share it with you IMMEDIATELY!! In their May issue they are offering up a choice of TWO different full size Ciate Paint Pots as well as a mini Jergen's Body Moisturiser. The only shade I could find in my local Sainsbury's was Sand Dune so I snapped it up and I thought I'd pop it up on the blog as a Monday Mani so that you lovely ladies can see it on the nails.

I LOVE the Ciate packaging! It's a big bottle at 13.5ml and the curved shape and Ciate's signature bow are very pleasing on the eye. I like that the cap is longer as well as I find it easier to control the brush that way.

This is actually my first Ciate nail polish. I seem to have missed out on previous magazine giveaways with them included and I just failed to stumble across them whilst out and about and promptly forgot they existed until I spotted them in Marie Claire today. Sand Dune looked so pretty in the bottle. I love a nice golden shade on my nails in the summer, expecially with a tan, and this one has the most beautiful sparkle to it without being overly-bling. It's very similar to Barry M's Gold Foil Nail Effects but it has more sparkle and isn't quite so metallic.

I actually found this polish to be a bit of a hassle to apply. It seems to cling to any imperfection in the nails and, on a couple, I had to redo it several times before it would look smooth (thank God for my Bourjois 1-Second Nail Polish remover). I really did get rather angry after the 3rd attempt bodged.  It's almost like the second coat is trying to pull the first coat OFF. Very strange but probably my fault for not waiting longer between coats. However, the finished effect is lovely! It's more subtle than the Barry M Foil and the sparkly effect is so pretty! Definitely worth £3.80 for an issue of Marie Claire, despite my issues.

Will you be buying Marie Claire this month?? What do you think of Ciate Paint Pots?? What nail shades will you be going for for SS13??

Monday Manicure #1

Good morning my beauties!!
I've been brainstorming in the last week as to how i can change up my blog a bit and incorperate more posts that i felt my blog has been lacking lately. I hit on the fact that nail polish is something that doesn't get enough attention at the moment and, as i've recently been painting my nails more and more frequently (usually on the train up to University on a Sunday afternoon), i decided that i would dedicate Mondays to my nails! So i'm getting the ball rolling today with this little beauty....

Look Beauty Nail Pop:
Dorothy

Because red glitter nails are for LIFE, not just for Christmas! I enjoyed glitter nails so much over the festive period that i have carried it over into 2013.

Look Beauty currently have 50% off ALL their beauty products in Superdrug and online. I've only ever tried their lipsticks before (read my review of Toffee Cup HERE) so i decided i just HAD to purchase a couple of their nail polishes. I picked up this one and another, which will no doubt be coming up very soon in another Monday Mani post.

(In natural light)
This is 2 coats of Dorothy followed by Seche Vite topcoat (that's another post, i love it!)
(With Flash - Check out the pathetic, short middle nail that broke yesterday. Grrrrrrr)

This polish is visually stunning! These photos really don't do it justice. The glitters are quite fine, but not too much so and really catch the light perfectly. 2 coats provides decent opacity but i think i'd maybe go for 3 in future. It really is a dead ringer for the Ruby Slippers Dorothy wears in the Wizard of Oz! Wonder if i click my fingers 3 times i'll be transported to another realm haha...

Longevity-wise, this polish holds its own. I've had it on since Saturday night and it's just starting to come away from the tips. No chipping as yet. To be fair i haven't done anything very strenuous though. I like the size of the brush and the formula is easy enough to work with. I'm a messy self- manicurist and i  only had minimal tidying up to do after applying this.

Look Beauty Nail Pops are currently on sale at £2.50 each (usual price is £5) and are available in a wide range of colours from selected Superdrug stores and from lookbeauty.co.uk
I think i may have to make another trip because i'm hooked!!

What shades have you picked up in the sale?? Do you go mad for glitter polish??

Recent Essie Purchases!!

Hello there lovelies!!
Quite a late one tonight again! In fact i'm writing up a couple of posts tonight to schedule for while i'm travelling up and down the country again for Uni over the next couple of days. Although i think it's safe to say i'm a little distracted tonight as i've just abandoned this post after just a couple of sentences because i had the urge to play with pink eyeshadow haha. Anyhoo, i've now refocused and i wanna talk about my new Essie polishes!

Essie is another brand that i have only just started to discover since i moved to London. Of course i'd heard of them previously, but before i moved my nails were in such a state from working in a pub kitchen that i wasn't even bothering with painting my nails and, therefore, wasn't in a hurry to buy many new nail polishes. Since i left that job my nails have sprung back to life and i have a reignited love affair with nail polish!

Shades L-R:
Miss Fancy Pants, a gorgeous shade that i would describe as a 'mucky lilac', even though it doesn't look like that in the bottle. I guess you could also describe it as 'greige'
Fiji, An uber pale, off-white shade with a hint of cool pink.
Playa Del Platinum, a lovely pale, neutral, slightly warm, shade of grey.
and Mint Candy Apple, A pale, pastel blue/green.

I picked up my first one on my birthday when i spotted Essie in Superdrug for the first time ever. I knew exactly which one i wanted. It was Fiji and i LOVE it! It might even be my favourite so far, but i love all of these shades. The other 3 were purchased from Olympia Beauty last month.

Essie have soooooo many shades, and it would be so easy to get giddy and buy TONS, but i find that when i do that i always forget about some shades and i like to appreciate every nail polish i buy and so i only picked up a small handful to start with. I do have a little Essie shopping list forming in my head though so i very well might treat myself in the run up to Christmas.

I'm going to try and do a NOTD type post for each of these polishes, starting today. The first i have chosen is Playa Del Platinum, just because i woke up in the mood for nude this morning. Excuse the iphone photo. My camera really isn't playing ball lately and refuses to focus. I think it's more of less knackered now to be honest, so i'll have to make do.

I really like this shade for a neutral daytime polish. It really is a pleasure to wear. I actually quite like the Essie formula, although i have heard of some who don't. I find it quite opaque, even after a single coat, and that it doesn't flood my cuticle (which happens to me a LOT with some polishes, i really am a bit crap at painting my nails). The brush is a decent size too!!

The polishes i got from Olympia were just under a fiver each, but the one i got from Superdrug was around £7 i think. I've also seen loads of great eBay deals on Essie polishes so it pays to snoop around for a bargain!! I can't wait to swatch more of the shades for you!

Do you love Essie polishes?? What are your favourites?? Please leave your shade recommendations to add to my wishlist!!

Much Love for Mavala!

Evening ladies!
I'm doing well this week and keeping up with everything i'm desperate to share with you all. Most of this week's posts will have been typed up in advance and scheduled, or posted as and when, Tonight's offering is dedicated to heavyweight nail brand
 Mavala.

I think most of us are familiar with the name Mavala, but it is a Swiss brand named after its creator (Madeleine Van  Landeghem) which has actually been around for over 50yrs! The brand is most famous for it's best selling Scientifique Nail Hardener, but has an extensive range of nail colours and has also branched out into makeup and skincare. I, for one, didn't even know they did lipsticks!!
I learned more about the brand and drooled over all the gorgeous colours last week at an event and tonight i'm going to show you two new products that i have been playing with.

Mavalia Lipstick in Shade 558 (Neon Pink)

The name of this lipstick scared me before i opened it. I thought it would be garish and Big Fat Gypsy Wedding-worthy. I was, in fact, WRONG! I actually had trouble getting it to look pink at all for these photos. It's actually a very pretty, coral-ish pink, summery shade. It has a slight shimmer to it, but not enough to put me off.

(testament to my humble little Nikon that you can see both my reflection AND my fingerprints in this photo - who needs a DSLR)

These lipsticks contain both Botanical Extracts and Shea Butter to condition the lips as well as add a fabulous pop of colour. Upon further investigation i am guessing that the shade i have is one of the Sheer shades as, i am glad to report, it isn't as Va Va VOOM as it's name suggests once it is applied. In fact, i had to build up the swatch a little for the photos.

So my neon pink lippy isn't nearly as scary as i'd built it up to be, and will be a great addition to my summer lip palette! I can imagine it will be gorgeous with a tan!

Mavala Nail Color Cream in 182 (Fresh Melon)

I love that this is the colour polish i got in my bag of goodies! It's a tropical, peach/orange shade which is bang on trend for the approaching summer season and will also look good with a tan! I've actually been searching for a pair of jeans this colour. Mavala polishes only come in a 5ml size which is because, as was explained to us on the night, it keeps them affordable and who uses up a whole nail polish bottle anyway? This way you can buy TWO colours!

Yes, i know, my mani is KNACKERED in this photo. I had actually only JUST applied it but my ferrets seem to have a radar for wet nail polish and, as usual, as soon as i started painting they were all over me. So that's why it's wonky and patchy. I give up haha. At least you can see the colour effect.

It has a slight hint of a sheen to it, and two coats gives a decent opacity. Considering the bottles are small size, the brush didn't appear to be affected. In the OPI mini sizes, i find the smaller brush really makes application tricky and streaky but i didn't find this with Mavala which is a bonus.

Overall i'm very pleased with these products. They are the first Mavala products in my collection and i doubt they will be the last. For more information on all Mavala's different products, and to find stockists, you can go to mavala.co.uk

What colours SCREAM summer to you?? Are you a Mavala junkie?? What are your favourite shades/products??

NOTD: OPI Metallic 4 Life

Another quick post tonight girls!
I'm trying to get my number up for April as i have totally FAILED blogwise this month. This is the lowest amount of posts per month i have had since i started my blog a YEAR ago! So i decided to snap a few piccies of my goffik, metallic Nicki Minaj mani yesterday as it just looked so sparkly and enticing haha.

I first posted about the OPI Nicki Minaj nail polish collection back in February. At the time i only posted about two of the shades out of the 4 i have so i thought it was about time to show the others some love. You can check out 'Fly' and 'Did it on em' HERE but today is the turn of 'Metallic 4 Life'...

I've kind of saved this polish and not wanted to waste it as it is possibly my favourite out of the collection. However, the other day i just REALLY fancied it and decided to give it it's first solo outing. Up to now i've only used it as an accent nail.

One coat of this polish will do NOTHING for you. It's silver glitter contained in a greyish black jelly-type polish. Used on top of another colour it may be quite effective but one coat of this alone is VERY lacklustre. HOWEVER, once you add a second (or even a third) coat it really does start to look FABULOUS!!
Over the weekend i received some beautiful pieces of handmade jewellery from Rhi of othersideofcool.com and all the skulls and crosses made me feel VERY rock chick so i just went for it! More to come on the jewellery later in the week.

This polish hasn't disappointed me and i will definitely be coveting it and keeping it for special occasions. I may even attempt to get my hands on the full size because i will be very sad when it is gone. You don't get that much in a mini size.
That leaves the only shade out of the collection that is unblogged to be Pink Friday... I guess i didn't rush to blog about it because i knew that it was the shade that would get the most attention elsewhere and i wanted to be different haha. As soon as we actually get some decent Spring/Summer weather i may indeed get my girly pink head on again and break it out.

Do you love glitter?? Are you a metal freak when it comes to your nails?? What are your favourite OPI shades??

Nicki Minaj for OPI Mini Collection: My thoughts...

Good evening beauty seekers!!
Tonight's slice of blog tart is dedicated to nail polish!! And not just ANY nail polish, but the Nicki Minaj collaboration with OPI!! I was lucky enough to stumble across these for a VERY good price in a discount beauty shop that i know in Chesterfield. (If you're local, it's called Dolled Up and is just up from the Vicar Lane area of town.) They were selling the full sized polishes as well but i love the mini collections as it gives you more variety for, more or less, the same price. I also own the Pirates of the Caribbean collection which i have blogged about in the past.

So here they are (L-R)
Did it on 'Em
A not too 'in ya face' acid yellow/green
 Fly
A deep blue/green shade, like a cross between a turquoise and a teal.
 Pink Friday
Nicki's signature shade. A perfect medium pink (although not as unique as it would like to be)
 Metallic 4 Life
Silver glitter contained in a black jelly-like polish.

I have played around with all of these polishes over the last week or so and can honestly say that there isn't  a shade i dislike. They're all very wearable colours and don't feel (to me) to be season specific which i like. I'm one of those who doesn't like to wear corals, oranges or pastels in winter time as i associate colours like that with spring/summer. Similarly, i dislike wearing dark or brown shades in the summertime as i feel they belong with the colder weather. There are polishes from the collection which are NOT included in the mini set so i can only review the ones that i have.
Formula-wise, these are exactly what you would expect from OPI. A couple of coats does the trick and the are fairly long wearing with the right topcoat. As usual my only grumble with OPI mini polishes is that the brush is TINY and you have to take great care to make sure you don't get a 'streaky' finish.
Usually with a collection like this i would put up a NOTD for each shade as and when i wore them, but for this one i'm making an exception as i have used the first two shades TOGETHER.

Here is the result.....

BRIGHT Leopard Nails!!
As a rule, i don't have a steady enough hand for nail art, BUT as this is a Nicki Minaj collaboration i kind of felt inspired to do something a bit funky. So i glued on some falsies and had a play with the polishes when i got home this afternoon. (I am aware you can still see the tips but 3 coats of any polish to me is a major pain in the backside - On normal nails i doubt it would be an issue).

Here's what i did...

Dead Easy!!
1) Apply 2 coats of 'Fly' to the nails and allow to dry completely (i didn't use a base cos they were false nails but you might want to on natural nails)
2) Using the brush it comes with (OPI mini brushes may be tiresome but they're PERFECT for this) dab little dots of 'Did it on Em' randomly on each nail. No prizes for uniformity here.... Allow to dry.
3) Using any random liquid eyeliner (i used UD 24/7, partly cos its waterproof and partly because it was the nearest) draw little semi circles around your dots. I also added little black flecks here and there to add to the effect.
4) Allow to dry and seal the whole lot with a good layer of topcoat (any will do).

And the end result is pretty damn FUNKY!!

So i suppose thats the first two out of the way already!! Pink Friday and Metallic 4 Life (i always want to call it METALLICA 4 Life for some reason.... must be the heavy metaller in me) will get their own NOTD posts in due course.

Do you own this collection?? Which shades are your favourite??

Tasteful Nude (Nail Polishes)

Good evening ladies!!
Tonight I am blogging to express my current obsession for all things NUDE (noooooo not like THAT). For some reason, as the temperature drops and the woolly jumpers come out, my corals and fuchsias of summer go into hiding and my browns, nudes and neutrals come out to play! I don't know if it's because I find them comforting, or whether they remind me of a hot mug of coffee or cocoa but I just LOVE THEM!! And I thought I'd share with you the ones I've been reaching for the most this season. Photos aren't amazing as im blogging from my iphone but you get the idea.....

As you can see I've stuck mainly to my Nails Inc and OPI for this one. Not because I'm a high end junkie (budget doesn't even BEGIN to allow for that lately) but they're just colours which have attracted me recently. And they are...

Nails Inc: Basil Street and Fashion Fawn
And
OPI: Steady as She Rose and Barefoot in Barcelona

I have to say that BOTH of the Nails Inc polishes were mag freebies, although I'm pretty sure Basil Street is in their permanent line somewhere. It is the palest of my current brown/nudes and is so easy to wear!! Fashion Fawn was available in InStyle mag over the summer and I said then that that would be one I'd jump on as soon as the temperature plummeted. It's a lovely warm chocolatey brown colour almost like melted Dairy Milk. NOM!!

OPI Steady as she Rose was part of the Pirates of the Caribbean collection over the spring and summer but I'm still loving it as a soft, icy kind of pink and it goes with almost everything. I think a couple of others from that collection are still bang in for this season too so the collection is a great investment!!

But here's my current FAVOURITE of the bunch!!

(URGH, photo fail... think zooming in mushed it up a bit)
OPI Barefoot in Barcelona has been around for quite a while now as part of the Spanish collection and I. ADORE. ITTTTT!!! It's a gorgeous warm pale brown with almost a terracotta tint to it in some lights. I find most OPI polishes a dream to apply too and two coats is plenty to get you on your way. This one is no exception.

This is my idea of comfort, curling up in a MASSIVE snuggly jumper, slippers and a cuppa and painting my nails one of these colours. Maybe towards the party season I will switch again and go for full on GLITZ for my nails but, for now I'm happy being NUDE!!

What are your must have nail colours is season?? Do you go for warm browns or icy pastels??

NOTD: China Glaze - For Audrey

HIIIIIIIIIII!!!
Can't BELIEVE i haven't got to blog for almost a WEEK! I've just had a STOOPID amount of stuff going on getting ready to start University (and Freshers week has been jam packed so far) as well as work. But i was determined that it would not be a whole week between posts so i'm with you tonight with a NOTD that i have been looking forward to for AGES!!

It's China Glaze: For Audrey

It's sooooo PRETTY!! Well worth waiting 2 damn WEEKS for.... that's right, I ordered from BeautyZone2007, my bad. I've seen this on a few blogs and lusted after it for EVER and now i own it and today i decided to give it its first outing. I just love it. It's the same colour as my favourite (Primani) ring....

You get 14ml of product from China Glaze and this is made even BETTER by the fact that ONE coat does the job perfectly in terms of colour and opacity. If, like me, you have ridged nails then perhaps an extra coat may be beneficial but i only used a single coat for the sake of this post. The formula really does cover well!!

As you can see the colour is great and super-glossy. For Audrey is a bit greener in the flesh than in these photos but its jut the most perfect blue/green/turquoise shade! This is the sort of colour that works all year round so i can see it getting a LOT of wear in the months to come. Great purchase (despite the ridiculous shipping time).

And i FINALLY figured out how to watermark my photos thanks to my Twitter girlies!! No more nameless, easy-to-swipe-off-google piccies on THIS page!! Muahahahahaaaaaaa

What nail colours are YOU loving this season??

NOTD ft OPI Steady As She Rose

Good evening lovelies!
Pretty non eventful day here. I booked this weekend off work as i had intended to take a trip down to London to visit a friend but as i spent up on my birthday i have ended up stuck in Bakewell. So i plan on using these 2 days to rest up, get the flat in order and do a bit of blogging. And I'll start off by showing you my newest OPI addition....

Steady as she Rose

This is another polish from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection that i have already featured on this blog. I bought the mini collection and this was the only polish that i really felt was MISSING from that. So i ordered it from eBay and it arrived on Thursday morning.

If Skull&Glossbones had a wife, it would definitely be Steady as she Rose. I'd describe it as a girly version of that. Its subtle greyish-pink that is VERY wearable and still bang on for this season's nude CRAZE.
As i predicted when i was whinging about the consistency of the OPI minis compared to the regular size polishes, this goes on so much better. I suspect it may be more to do with the brush than the formulation, which i had originally thought to be the culprit. I still think the minis are a great value way to try out multiple polishes from a collection without splashing out too much cash. I will be repurchasing a couple of the shades from this collection when fundage allows!!

What are your favourite OPI shades?? Is this polish on your shopping list??

NOTD: OPI Pirates pt4 - Skull & Glossbones

I've been MEANING to produce this final part of my Pirate themed NOTD series for you for the last WEEK!! But busy-ness and subsequent ILLNESS have prevented it! I've been struggling to keep up with work lately and as a result have been too tired and useless to even pick up the laptop, let alone write a blog post. I did manage me hair post though and I am also working on a Diva Pro Styling review on the Ultima hairdryer (which i am LOVING by the way) so expect that on Tuesday on my day OFF!

So here's Skull & Glossbones for your viewing pleasure!!

I love love LOVE this colour!! Not an obvious choice for a summery polish but it really does set off  tan PERFECTLY!! I did find that it is VERY similar to Stranger Tides, except the latter does lean a lot more green once it's applied. In the bottle, however, it's not immediately obvious which is which.
I have found the mini OPIs to be gloopier than the regular size polishes. Not sure what's going on with that to be honest. It does take a lot more effort to get a smooth finish and I always need to put a topcoat on it. I'll forgive them though. The minis are a great way to sample multiple colours for a bargain price (compared to a tenner per regular size OPI).
I did, the following day have a little creative moment where i decided to pop a bit of the Neon Pink La Femme Crackle polish over my ring fingernail as an accent, just to see what it would look like....

Not an amazing photo and I had been at work so the polish is a little battered (bloomin wire wool scourers in kitchen). But i like pink and grey together and was quite pleased with how my little accent turned out! The La Femme crackle polishes i have were £1 EACH from my local market and I'm having so much fun using them! Expect a post on them in the next week or so!

To sum up the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean collection I've really enjoyed these colours for summer and i will continue to use them throughout the year i think. Skull & Glossbones and Stranger Tides are my FAVOURITES of the 4 just because they are so different to any polish i would usually choose for summer and they have really pleasantly surprised me! Don't know why i haven't tried these colours before because i LOVE greys and khaki greens when choosing clothes and the colours REALLY bring out a tan!
Planks a Lot and Sparrow me the Drama are also such PRETTY colours! I do not own another pink or purple polish like them! The tones are just lovely. VERY pleased with my purchase of this collection! I will be treating myself to some full-size versions in the near future!

What did you think to the OPI Pirates polishes?? Which other colours should i be searching for that i didn't receive in this set??
